As part of our commitment to you, we can also arrange for many other services and therapies at preferred rates with our partners. We are committed to ensuring that fees and charges are clear and transparent to all our residents.

Fee's Information

HSE funded Residents

Elm Hall Nursing Home is an approved centre for the residential care of older persons under the Nursing Home Support Scheme (Fair Deal) and prices are set by the state on an annual basis.

As of the 1st July 2018, the weekly rate for persons funded by the Nursing Home Support Scheme is €1,075.00 per week for residential care.

There are a number of additional services which we are required to provide in accordance with HIQA standards, but which are excluded from the Nursing Home Support Scheme. There is a charge of €65.00 per week for these services.

Further optional services are available on request by the resident/their representative and the prices for these services are shown below.

 

 

Privately funded Residents

Residents can be admitted for long-term privately funded care, or short-term/respite/convalescence care.

As of the 10th October 2018, the weekly rate for persons privately funding their care is €1,245.00 per week. This fee includes residential care, meals, laundry and basic aids and appliances and also covers activities and social programmes.

Further optional services are available on request by the resident/their representative and the prices for these services are shown overleaf.

1.         Therapies

1.1.      Physiotherapy additional sessions €50 per consultation

1.2.      Occupational Therapy sessions €100 per consultation

1.3.      Chiropody/Podiatry sessions

1.3.1.   Chiropody Consultation as part of routine clinic with HSE Chiropody Card - €15 per visit

1.3.2.   Chiropody Consultation as part of routine clinic without HSE Chiropody Card - €50 per visit

1.3.3.   Chiropody Consultation Emergency Ad-Hoc Visit - €80 per visit

2.         Incontinence Wear

2.1.      Incontinence Pads – at cost price as per invoice from supplier less any statutory entitlement received from General Medical Services scheme.

3.         Dry Cleaning – at cost price as per invoice from supplier

4.         Opthalmic and Dental Services – at cost price as per invoice from supplier less any statutory entitlement received from PRSI Treatment Benefit Scheme or General Medical Services scheme.

5.         Transport and Escort Costs

5.1.      Transport - As per public taxi rates set by Transport for Ireland/Taxi Regulator from time to time at cost price as per invoice from supplier.

5.2.      Escort Rates – Healthcare Assistant €16.00 per hour or part thereof, Registered Nurse €25.00 per hour or part thereof.

6.         Specialised Beds, Wheelchairs and Mobility Aids – at cost price as per invoice from supplier.

6.1.      Alternating Dynamic Air Mattresses - €5.00 per day rental charge.

7.         Hairdressing and other similar services

7.1.      Hairdresser Price List

7.1.1.   Ladies Cut and Blow Dry €25

7.1.2.   Wash & Blow dry €15

7.1.3.   Wash & Set €15.00

7.1.4.   Gents Cut- €10.00

7.1.5.   Colour €40

7.1.6.   Perm €40

7.2.      Newspapers

7.2.1.   Cover price of newspaper plus €0.60c for delivery

7.3.      Any other services

7.3.1.   Individualised ‘One to One’ HCA Supervision - €16.00 per hour or part thereof.

 

MEDICATION AND PHARMACY SERVICES

In all cases the supply of drugs and medication will also be subject to the provisions of the applicable scheme the resident avails of (such as GMS (Medical Card), DPS (Drugs Payment Scheme) ) and the appropriate charge will be made directly by the residents chosen pharmacy subject to the terms and rates of the applicable scheme.

 

Charges may also be made for items not included on the GMS, DPS or Hardship Schemes including for example specialist dressings or non reimbursable medicines.

 

 

 

In the case of Further Services, Medication Charges or charges for any other service, you will be advised prior to the charge being actioned and where possible alternatives will be offered.

Each resident will have an individual contract of care which sets out all the terms and conditions between the resident and the provider.
