All staff employed at Elm Hall receive appropriate Induction and Training to
ensure that they provide the highest possible standard of quality care to all
our Residents, and that our care services meet the requirements of Care
Welfare Regulations and the Health Services Executive with whom the
Nursing Home is registered. Staff receive on-going training on a regular
basis and are actively encouraged and supported to develop their care skills.
All Nursing staff are registered with the Irish Nursing Board (An Bord Altranais), and are supervised by
Matron, Mairead Byrne, who has 20 years professional experience and expertise in the provision of Nursing
Care and Management in both the U.K. and Ireland. As a Trustee and Director of Elderly Care Services
with Age Concern in England, Mairead spent six years working specifically with older people and was
involved in the development and implementation of many Policies related to National Care Standards and
Care Services.
